THE CHALLENGE
We were invited to join this project as the homeowner and contractor struggled to find the best solution to complement the existing coffered ceiling while beautifully and efficiently serving this busy family.
MODERNIZING
The client longed for a relaxing and welcoming kitchen to gather and share the events of the day over a delicious meal and a finely brewed cup of coffee. We expanded their island, adding seating and storage, removed a sheetrock pantry to serve as a dedicated area for a beverage center and coffee bar, and recaptured pantry storage by repurposing an underutilized desk space.
WE LOVE A GOOD CHALLENGE
The results coordinated seamlessly with the existing millwork as if all were original to the home. We also took a look at the adjacent mudroom and by reorienting the appliances, we found room to add tall storage for coats and cleaning supplies while making the room feel more spacious.
